Scarborough, Tobago – At a press conference held today, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine addressed the recent Tobago House of Assembly (THA) executive reshuffle, providing his rationale for the decision.
Augustine referenced THA Act 40 1996, explaining that it grants the Chief Secretary the authority to manage the executive council. He stated that he is within his power to move members into, out of, and around the executive council as required to best serve the island’s development. Augustine’s comments aim to clarify the legal basis for the changes and reassure the public that the reshuffle was a strategic move for the betterment of Tobago.
