Scarborough, Tobago – March 25th, 2024 – In a proactive move aimed at addressing gender-related challenges and supporting vulnerable populations in Tobago, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister – Gender and Child Affairs, Ayanna Webster-Roy, spearheaded a significant initiative. On Monday, March 25th, 2024, she oversaw the distribution of 120 Dignity Kits to various divisions under the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) and key non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across the island.
These Dignity Kits are essential resources designed to provide women and girls with basic hygiene and personal care items, particularly in emergency situations or contexts where access to such necessities might be compromised. The distribution underscores a concerted effort to enhance the well-being and safety of individuals, with a specific focus on gender-based support and preparedness.
