Tobago Officers Seize Narcotics, Firearm Components
Tobago Division officers seized 1.39 kg of marijuana and firearm components during an exercise conducted in the division between yesterday and today.
Between the hours of 9 pm on 23rd, December 2023 and 1 am this morning, officers of the Intelligence Patrol Unit, Guard and Emergency Branch, Scarborough CID, K9 Unit, and the Tobago Divisional Task Force, conducted an exercise in the Scarborough, Crown Point, and Shirvan Road districts. Acting on intelligence, the officers proceeded to a bushy area off an unnamed roadway along All Fields Trace, Lowlands, and conducted a thorough search. The search unearthed one black plastic bag containing two brown rectangular packets, each containing transparent packages with narcotics amounting to 1.39 kg of marijuana. Officers also discovered components of a firearm resembling a rifle in the black bag with the narcotics.
The items were seized for further processing. PC Preudhomme is continuing enquiries.
The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt Jackman, spearheaded by ASP Joseph, and supervised by Insp. Forbes, Cpls Wallace and Johnson and PC Phillip.
