May 26, 2025 – Fifteen male and two female Trinidad and Tobago nationals met a far sterner reception than recent parliamentary dignitaries when they touched down at Piarco International Airport on Saturday morning. They are the latest group to be deported from the United States under a wave of aggressive immigration crackdowns from the Trump administration. Fifteen returnees were allowed to go free, while two were taken into custody on outstanding pre-migration warrants.
