Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – During his Republic Day message to the nation, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley reflected on the historic moment of 1976, when Trinidad and Tobago’s government transformed from a monarchical status to a republic.
He urged citizens to ask themselves if they are adequately preparing, or preparing their children, for the country’s future. Dr. Rowley highlighted the widespread influence of Artificial Intelligence, noting that it will undoubtedly transform people’s lifestyles and requiring national readiness. The Prime Minister also acknowledged that the country has made significant progress, a fact that should be celebrated by all. He recognized the major contributions of those in sports and the arts and urged parents to foster a culture of love and responsibility in their homes. Dr. Rowley concluded by noting that Trinidad and Tobago is a place of natural wonder and beauty, encouraging citizens to acknowledge the nation’s many good qualities.
