The Prime Minister’s Republic Day message
The Prime Minister says that citizens should be proud of the nation in his Republic Day address.
During his Republic Day message to the nation, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley noted that the generation of 1976 witnessed the historic moment of the transformation of the nation’s government from monarchial status to a republic. He said citizens must ask themselves if they are preparing or even preparing their children for the country’s future. He highlighted the spread of Artificial Intelligence noting that it is something that will undoubtedly transform people’s lifestyles. He added that the country has made significant progress and this progress should be noted by everyone. Dr Rowley acknowledged those who contributed majorly to sports, and the arts. He also urged parents to change the mood in their homes and to create a culture of love and responsibility. The Prime Minister noted that Trinidad and Tobago is a place of natural wonder and beauty encouraging citizens to acknowledge the good about the nation.
