SPEL Must Comply with the Law: Kwesi Des Vignes on Licensing Challenges

Former D.I.Q.E. secretary Kwesi Des Vignes says S.P.E.L. must comply with the laws of Trinidad and Tobago.

Scarborough, Tobago – April 15, 2024 – According to former Secretary of Infrastructure, Quarries, and the Environment, Kwesi Des Vignes, Studley Park Enterprises Limited (SPEL)’s current challenges in acquiring necessary licenses and permits are not new.

Des Vignes explained that during his tenure, SPEL was required to pay royalties before being granted permits. His comments underscore the importance of all entities, including SPEL, complying with the law and fulfilling financial obligations to obtain necessary operational approvals in Tobago.
