Charlotteville, Tobago – The Charlotteville Methodist Primary School is now the first school on the island, and by extension, the nation’s first school to utilize solar power. Last Friday, a 15-kilowatt solar power system was officially commissioned at the school, marking a significant milestone for sustainable energy in education.
Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, Minister of Public Utilities Marvin Gonzales, and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and MP for Tobago East Ayanna Webster-Roy, all shared their sentiments on this pioneering project. The initiative highlights a commitment to renewable energy and is expected to serve as a model for other educational institutions across Trinidad and Tobago.
