PDP Political Leader Watson Duke says the party is working quietly on the ground in preparation for elections
Scarborough, Tobago – The Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP), under the leadership of Political Leader Watson Duke, is actively working quietly on the ground to prepare for the upcoming General and Tobago House of Assembly (THA) elections in 2025. This intensive groundwork signals the party’s determination to regain significant political influence.
The PDP faced considerable internal turmoil following public disagreements that ultimately led to Chief Secretary Farley Augustine and the majority of the THA Executive Council departing from the party in late 2022/early 2023. Despite this past significant split, Watson Duke maintains that the party is focused on re-energizing its base and building momentum for the electoral contests ahead.
This strategic approach underscores the PDP’s commitment to re-establishing itself as a major political force in Tobago, aiming to connect with constituents and present its vision for the island’s future governance.
Kandace Jackson has more details on the PDP’s current political activities and their strategy leading up to the 2025 elections.
