Scarborough, Tobago – Minority Leader Kelvon Morris has written to the Office of the Procurement Regulator (OPR), urging an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a $186 million contract.
Speaking at a press conference, Morris accused the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) of re-engaging a contractor for the housing project, despite their previous inability to complete a $25 million contract for the Lammy Road project. Both contracts were reportedly under a Design-Build-Finance arrangement, and Morris’s call for an investigation highlights concerns about due process and accountability in the THA’s procurement practices.
