June 5, 2025 – A formal ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Ministry of Public Utilities’ Head Office in St. Clair, where Barry Padarath, Minister of Public Utilities, officially presented letters of appointment to the newly constituted board of the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA). The new Board comprises: Roshan Babwah – Chairman, Maurice J. Hoyte – Deputy Chairman, Tawari Tota-Maharaj, Chaitram Brown, Kern D. Saney, Naveen Maraj, Indra Mohammed, Patricia Herry. The Ministry extended a warm welcome to the new Board members and expressed confidence in their leadership to guide WASA’s transformation into a more efficient, customer-centric, and sustainable utility in line with the government’s national development agenda.
