Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Following the endorsement of the National AIDS Coordinating Committee (NACC), a steering committee has been established to oversee the implementation of the Stigma Index 2.0 in Trinidad and Tobago. This crucial initiative, championed by the Trinidad and Tobago Community for Positive Women (TTCW+), held its inaugural meeting on May 14, 2024, marking the beginning of the committee’s work.
The Stigma Index 2.0, an international survey tool, aims to investigate and gather data on the various factors contributing to stigma against Persons Living with HIV (PLHIV). This project is a significant step towards understanding and addressing the societal barriers faced by individuals with HIV, with the goal of fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment.
