Double Murder

After recording its eleventh murder on Tuesday, Tobago has now suffered its twelfth and thirteenth murders for the year. Inspector Alicia Piggot, attached to the Shirvan Police Station, reported that police on patrol were notified at 12:55 am of a double murder outside the Sherwin Williams Paint Shop on Mt Pleasant Boulevard Road, where three people were shot, with only one surviving. The victims were identified as Akeem Freitas, 33, of Rockly Vale, and Fritz Alleyne, 61, of Mt Grace.

They were socializing with other patrons at Chill Out bar when gunmen fired into the gathering, hitting the men. Bullet holes were visible in the windows of the nearby Sherwin Williams paint shop. Reports suggest that Freitas was the intended target, while Alleyne unfortunately got caught in the gunfire.
