September 3 2025- The Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection has announced the launch of its White Waste Clean-Up Campaign, a major effort to keep Tobago’s communities clean, safe, and environmentally healthy.
As part of the initiative, residents are encouraged to place large household items—such as old refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, and other bulky appliances—at their curbside for collection.
The Division emphasized the importance of proper disposal, noting that abandoned white waste not only detracts from the community’s appearance but also poses serious health and safety risks. By removing these large items from yards and roadways, the campaign aims to foster cleaner neighborhoods and protect the environment.
Residents are urged to participate and take advantage of this valuable service.
