Scarborough, Tobago – February 27, 2024 – Fisherfolk and stakeholders from Lambeau and Scarborough recently engaged in a productive dialogue with key Tobago House of Assembly (THA) representatives. Chief Secretary Farley Augustine led the crucial meeting, joined by Assemblyman Dr. Faith B.Yisrael, Assemblyman Wane Clarke, and Allan Stewart, Director of the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA).
The discussions focused on addressing the progress made and the pressing issues still faced at the Shaw Park Food Hub in the aftermath of the recent oil spill disaster. Despite ongoing challenges, participants stressed the importance of unity and resilience within the affected communities. The meeting highlighted a joint effort between the community and the THA to collaboratively tackle concerns and find solutions for affected individuals and businesses in the area, particularly those impacted by the oil spill in Tobago.
