Hunting Season closed from April 1st to September 30th
February 27, 2024 – The hunting season in Trinidad and Tobago officially closed on February 28, 2023, in accordance with the Conservation of Wildlife Act, Chapter 67:01. According to the law, the closed season spans annually from April 1 to September 30.
During the month of March, a grace period is allowed for individuals to properly dispose of any prohibited meat products obtained during the hunting season. Violations of these hunting season regulations may lead to severe penalties, including a fine of $100,000.00 or imprisonment for up to six months.
For more detailed information on hunting regulations and compliance, individuals are encouraged to reach out to the Department of Natural Resources and Forestry in Trinidad and Tobago. The public is urged to adhere to these laws to ensure the conservation of wildlife across the nation.
