Hunting Season Closes: TTPS Reminds Public of Regulations and Penalties
Hunting Season closed from April 1st to September 30th
February 27, 2024 – The hunting season in Trinidad and Tobago officially closed on February 28, 2023, in accordance with the Conservation of Wildlife Act, Chapter 67:01. According to the law, the closed season spans annually from April 1 to September 30.
During the month of March, a grace period is allowed for individuals to properly dispose of any prohibited meat products obtained during the hunting season. Violations of these hunting season regulations may lead to severe penalties, including a fine of $100,000.00 or imprisonment for up to six months.
