Scarborough, Tobago – Yesterday, Tobago Updates aired a news story concerning Tobago’s non-representation at the 2024 Best Village Trophy Competition, which is scheduled to be held in August. In that report, it was stated that Julien Skeete, the Administrator in the Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities, and Transportation, assured concerned groups that a detailed press conference with comprehensive information on the matter would soon happen.
However, Tobago Updates clarifies that it should have been communicated that a detailed press release, not a press conference, would be issued on the matter. The media outlet acknowledges the error and apologizes for the misinformation. This clarification ensures accuracy regarding the communication strategy concerning Tobago’s participation in the upcoming Best Village Competition.
