Scarborough, Tobago – Just days after his trip to Brazil, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine led a delegation to London, England, for the annual World Travel Market, which took place from November 5th to 7th.
Described as the world’s most influential three-day event in the travel industry, the event provides networking opportunities for a number of stakeholders globally. Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation Tashia Burris was also in attendance, along with representatives from the Division of Tourism, the Tobago Tourism Agency Limited, and other industry stakeholders.
In reference to previous years, the Chief Secretary and the Secretary of Tourism reported on conversations with airline executives and negotiations to include Tobago as a travel destination, branding Tobago as “the greatest little island on the planet.” Deputy Chief Secretary Dr. Faith B. Yisarel represented the Chief Secretary in his absence.
