Senior. Sup Ellie says October is the safest month in Tobago for the year.
October 25, 2024 – Senior Superintendent Earl Ellie has stated that October is shaping up to be Tobago’s safest month of the year so far. The declaration comes after a challenging year, which saw a record-breaking 24 murders and numerous shooting incidents across the island. This spike in crime had led to a change in leadership at the Tobago Police Division in September. Reflecting on the past month, Senior Superintendent Ellie noted that the police have managed to keep crime “under a measure of control.”
