Board of inland revenue cashier services to open at 8 am and close at 10 am on budget day, Monday, September 30th
Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Finance Minister Colm Imbert advised the nation on Tuesday, September 18th, that the 2025 budget would be presented on Monday, September 30th, 2024.
As a result, the Board of Inland Revenue (BIR) issued a notice of early closure for all its cashier services on Budget Day. Cashier services were set to open at 8 AM and close at 10 AM, while all non-cashier services were to remain available throughout the workday. The BIR advised persons wishing to make 3rd quarter payments to do so on or before September 30th, 2024. The early closure was a necessary measure to facilitate the closing of accounts for the fiscal year, which also ended on September 30th, 2024.
