Re-Prioritizing Budgetary Allocations

With only $260 million allocated for developmental expenditure, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine says the executive council is grappling financing necessary projects. The executive council went into retreat over the last two days at Manta Lodge Resort in Speyside where they discussed priorities for the next fiscal year. Speaking at a press conference Augustine explained that a large portion of the $260 million is allocated to paying developmental workers, leaving them with less money for projects. He also addressed comments from Tobago Senator, Laurence Hislop regarding the release of allocations to the THA. More in this report from Kandace Jackson.
