Whim, Tobago – June 19, 2024 – “If you do not trust the police, then who else do you trust?” That was the challenging question posed by Senior Superintendent Rodhill Kirk to residents gathered at the Whim Community Centre as the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) hosted another public consultation.
Senior Superintendent Kirk noted that too often, residents complain about their distrust of police officers, yet he observed they are willing to harbor criminals within their community. His comments underscore the critical need for improved police-community relations and increased cooperation to effectively combat crime in Tobago and ensure public safety.
