Roxborough Secondary wins National Track and Field Championships
February 22, 2024 – Roxborough Secondary School has emerged victorious at the National Secondary Schools Track and Field Championship in Trinidad, demonstrating remarkable dominance by clinching wins in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.
In the female division, Roxborough Secondary secured the top spot with an impressive 263.5 points after 49 events, leading over fellow Tobago schools Scarborough Secondary and Signal Hill Secondary. The male division saw Roxborough Secondary boys dominating with 291 points, outperforming Queens Royal College and Signal Hill Secondary.
Assistant Secretary Orlando Kerr from the Division of Education, Research, and Technology praised the schools for their outstanding achievements, highlighting the strong athletic talent emerging from Tobago’s secondary schools at the national level. This double victory marks a significant milestone for Roxborough Secondary athletics.
