Trinidad and Tobago’s junior track and field contingent received a hero’s welcome upon returning home following a dominant campaign at the 53rd CARIFTA Games held at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium in Grenada.
Team TTO captured an impressive haul of 35 medals (9 gold, 11 silver, 15 bronze), finishing second overall on the regional medal table behind Jamaica. The tally surpassed the 2025 total of 25 medals and beat the National Association of Athletics Administrations of Trinidad and Tobago’s (NAAATT) pre-games target of 30. Tobago-based athletes served as the engine room of the national delegation, directly delivering 15 of the country’s 35 medals.
