10 Day Lull Ends With Murder of Gbv Advocate

Trinidad and Tobago’s brief respite from crime has come to a tragic end. Just after Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar celebrated a 10-day period without any recorded homicides as a positive milestone, the peace was shattered. Over the weekend, a sudden surge in violence claimed five lives in just 48 hours, including the shocking murder of a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) advocate.
