Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda – A significant portion of the Caribbean faces food insecurity, with 43% of the region’s population affected, according to data from the World Food Programme (WFP). This pressing issue emerged as a critical item on the agenda for the 4th International Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Conference held in Antigua and Barbuda.
Regis Chapman, WFP Representative and Country Director of the Multi-Country Office for the Caribbean, shed light on these alarming statistics.
