28 Tobagonians To Be Awarded

Scarborough, Tobago – As Tobago Day celebrations continue, twenty-eight outstanding Tobagonians will be recognized this evening at the highly anticipated Tobago Day Awards Ceremony. The prestigious event, celebrating significant contributions to the island, is being held at the Shaw Park Complex.

The Tobago Day Awards represent the most esteemed commendation on the island, honoring individuals and groups who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and service to Tobago over the years.

Medals will be presented across three distinct categories:

  • The Tobago Medal of Honour Gold for distinguished and outstanding service to Tobago.
  • The Tobago Medal of Honour Silver for long and meritorious service to Tobago.
  • The Tobago Medal of Honour Bronze for loyal and devoted service beneficial to Tobago.

In addition to these esteemed medals, one individual or group will receive the highly coveted Chief Secretary’s Award for their outstanding contributions and significant achievements toward Tobago’s development. Chief Secretary Farley Augustine is expected to deliver the feature address at the ceremony, which will be streamed live on the Tobago Updates Facebook page.

This year’s Tobago Day is themed, “The Greatest Little Island on the Planet, 43 Years Strong,” celebrating the island’s enduring spirit and progress.
