WASA Imposes Hose Ban

WASA has imposed ban on use of water hoses & sprinklers, while water schedules are being reduced as dry conditions continue

Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – A ban is being imposed on the use of water hoses and sprinklers by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA). This critical measure comes in response to a particularly harsh dry season that is significantly affecting reservoirs and surface water sources nationwide.

In addition to the hose ban, WASA is also implementing reduced water scheduling across various areas. These restrictions are necessary to conserve the nation’s water supply and manage demand during periods of low rainfall and diminished water production. Residents are urged to adhere to the new schedules and practice water conservation.
