July 23, 2025 – There’s still time to nominate a deserving citizen for Trinidad and Tobago’s highest honours. The Office of the Prime Minister has extended the deadline for submissions for the 2025 National Awards to July 31st. This provides two more weeks to put forward the names of individuals who have shown outstanding and meritorious service to the nation.
Last year, 65 citizens were recognized for their invaluable contributions across various fields, with three receiving the country’s top award, the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Other prestigious honours include the Chaconia Medal, the Hummingbird Medal, and the Medal of Merit. If you know someone whose selfless actions have benefitted a community or the nation, this is your chance to ensure their recognition. All nominations must be submitted online.
