Trinidad and Tobago Gears Up for 2025 Special Olympics National Games

May 7, 2025 – The 2025 Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago (SOTT) National Games begin this Saturday, May 10, under the theme “Uniting the nation through inclusion and athletic excellence.” Nine schools and community teams will compete across eight sporting events, including athletics, aquatics, football, and volleyball. The games will run until June 14 and aim to promote inclusion and celebrate the talents of athletes with intellectual disabilities. The opening ceremony will feature a symbolic torch handover to represent unity and perseverance. Later this year, SOTT will also host the National Beach Games in October and the National Floorball Games in November.
