Scarborough, Tobago – October 16, 2024 – Today, the world commemorates Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. The day is dedicated to honouring all parents who have experienced the loss of a baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The 2024 theme, “Together We Care,” emphasizes the significance of support and compassion within communities. This year’s theme aims to foster understanding and empathy for individuals grieving the loss of a baby and provide support as they embark on their healing journey.
As such, the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) has endorsed the Baby Loss Solace Seekers Support Group and the Zafeiri Foundation Initiative, two support groups based in Tobago that will host a Wave of Light Memorial Service tonight. One was scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM, and another at James Park at 7:00 PM, providing a space for the community to come together in support and remembrance.
