Tragic Road Fatality Claims Life of Samuel Wilkinson

Tobago mourns the loss of Samuel Wilkinson, 58, of Milford Road, Hampden in Lowlands, following a fatal accident on Sunday night. Wilkinson tragically lost his life while attempting to cross the Claude Noel Highway, marking another heartbreaking incident on Tobago’s roads.

The accident occurred near the Lowlands Mall around 7 pm when Wilkinson, crossing from north to south, collided with a white Mitsubishi Lancer traveling east, driven by a resident of Delaford.

Police officers from the Shirvan Road station, led by Inspector Piggott and supported by Warrant Corporal Alleyne-Pantin and Woman Police Constable Clarke, swiftly responded to the scene. Upon assessment, the district medical officer ordered Wilkinson’s body to be transported to the Scarborough mortuary for a post-mortem examination scheduled for later this week. Warrant Corporal Alleyne-Pantin continues to lead investigations into the incident.
