Scarborough, Tobago – Minority Leader Kelvon Morris spoke about Tobago’s tourism, connecting it to a motion he put forward in the assembly last week. He also addressed the cancellation of the island’s arrangement with Sandals Resorts.
The Sandals arrangement was pursued by the previous Tobago House of Assembly (THA) administration but was strongly opposed by the then-minority. Morris’s comments highlight the contrasting visions for Tobago’s tourism development and the political history surrounding the island’s major hotel projects.
