TOBAGO’S ROSLYN REID-HAYES SLATED TO OPEN 2025 CALYPSO MONARCH WITH “SING IT IN KAISO”

Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Tobago’s own Roslyn Reid-Hayes will have the honor of opening the 2025 Calypso Monarch competition at Dimanche Gras on March 2nd. This will be her very first time performing on that prestigious stage.

The final, which will be held at Queen’s Park Savannah, will feature 12 finalists competing for the title. The competition promises to be fierce, with a lineup that includes:

  1. 1. Machel Montano (defending champion) with his song “Bet Meh.”
  2. 2. Squeezy Rankin (Young Kings champion) performing “Justice.”
  3. 3. Former monarchs Terri Lyons and Karene “The Calypso Princess” Asche.
  4. 4. Roderick “Chuck Gordon” Gordon closing the show in the final spot.

The reserve position will be held by Morel “King Luta” Peters, who will perform “Staying in Calypso.”
