Tobago Business Chamber wants T.H.A. budget to focus on crime fighting measures.
Ahead of Monday’s THA budget statement, the Chairman of the Tobago Business Chamber, Martin George, hopes for a strong focus on crime and security. While Tobago’s crime situation has not deteriorated as severely as in Trinidad, he noted rising concerns about the increase in illegal drugs and guns on the island. The Chamber stated it has repeatedly called for vehicle scanners at both ports, sniffer dogs, and undercover police officers on the ferry equipped with lists and photos of wanted criminals.
