THTA President Reginald McLean: Tobago is ‘Safe and Fully Operational’ Despite National SOE
July 21, 2025 – While security forces ramp up operations across Trinidad and Tobago following intelligence of a credible threat from criminal networks, tourism officials in Tobago are sending a very different message to the world.
Reginald McLean, President of the Tobago Hotel and Tourism Association (THTA), today declared that Tobago is ‘safe and fully operational’ despite the recently declared national State of Emergency (SOE). His message aims to reassure potential visitors and stakeholders that the island’s tourism sector remains open and welcoming, even amidst national security measures.
