A new candidate has emerged for the Tobago West seat in the 2025 general elections. Aretha Paula Clarke will contest under the banner of the Patriotic Front, a party led by Mickela Panday, the daughter of former Prime Minister, the late, Basdeo Panday. This will be the party’s first time contesting any elections. According to a press release, the Patriotic Front has confirmed its first batch of candidates for seven seats, including Tobago West. The party stated that these candidates are leaders who will fight for real change, not just an exchange, to create a Trinidad and Tobago that works for everyone
