THA Race Heats Up: TPP Opens Nominations For All 15 Seats, Election Date Still Undeclared
October 6th, 2025- The Tobago People’s Party (TPP) has officially opened the nomination process for all fifteen seats in the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly (THA) election, constitutionally due by December 2025. The nomination window closes on October 17th.
The process involves three phases: Application and Eligibility, Vetting and Screening, and Final Selection. Currently, the TPP holds 13 of Tobago’s 15 THA seats, along with both parliamentary constituencies, forming the executive under Chief Secretary Farley Augustine following their 2022 split from the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP). The party is now actively seeking candidates to contest its first full THA election.
