Scarborough, Tobago – August 6, 2024 – The Tobago Agribusiness Development Company (TADCO) has officially commenced inter-regional trade. According to TADCO, on July 29th, 2024, the company’s long-line fishing vessel, Capital of Paradise 1 (COP1), successfully facilitated trade between the Kingston Fish Market in St. Vincent and the Agricultural Input Warehouse Limited.
This initiative highlights TADCO’s strategic efforts to expand Tobago’s agricultural and fisheries markets beyond national borders, fostering regional economic partnerships. The venture underscores the potential for Tobago’s produce and fish to penetrate broader Caribbean markets, marking a significant step for agribusiness development in Tobago and strengthening inter-regional trade within CARICOM.
