Chief Secretary says there are still many unanswered questions about the origin of Gulfstream
Scarborough, Tobago – February 16, 2024 – The recent denial by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley regarding the ownership of the shipwrecked vessel “Gulfstream” – a vessel supposedly linked to a company seeking to buy the Point Fortin refinery – has left numerous questions unanswered, according to Chief Secretary Farley Augustine.
During a press briefing today, Chief Secretary Augustine provided an update on the ongoing cleanup of a fuel-like substance leaking from the vessel, which continues to impact Tobago’s coastline. The Chief Secretary’s comments underscore the persistent lack of clarity surrounding the Tobago oil spill investigation and the identity of the responsible parties. Kandace Jackson provides further details in the following video regarding the Gulfstream vessel incident and the oil spill cleanup efforts in Tobago.
