Starfish Hotel employee receives award for heroism
Starfish Hotel employee receives award for rescuing shark attack victim.
In light of the shark attack that occurred on Friday, 26th April, at Turtle Beach, which resulted in 64-year-old UK national Peter Smith being seriously injured, an award was presented to Orion Jakarov, an employee of the Starfish Hotel who rescued Smith. A ceremony was held at the hotel to commemorate Jakarov’s heroic act where he received the Father of the Nation Medal of Honour Silver award.
