Assemblyman Wane Clarke says sporting grounds are being repaired across the island
Scarborough, Tobago – During today’s post-executive council meeting, Assistant Secretary for the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport, Assemblyman Wane Clarke, announced that significant repairs to sporting grounds across Tobago are either completed, currently underway, or scheduled to begin soon.
Clarke stated that his division has embarked on a comprehensive program to bring the island’s sporting facilities up to standard. He detailed the progress made over the past two to three weeks, showcasing the active commitment to enhancing sports infrastructure for Tobago’s communities.
Clarke further revealed that as soon as the lighting project in Patience Hill is completed (expected this month), work will commence at the Louis D’or sporting ground. He emphasized that extensive work has already been done on various hard courts and grounds across the island, with more upgrades planned for the near future. This initiative aims to provide modern, well-maintained facilities for athletes and the wider community, fostering sports development and recreational activities throughout Tobago.
