Special Allowance Being Considered for Tobago Oil Spill Cleanup Workers

Scarborough, Tobago – February 15, 2024 – The Tobago House of Assembly (THA) is giving consideration to paying a special allowance to workers from CEPEP, URP, LEP, and Daily Rated categories. These individuals have been directly utilized by the THA for the extensive oil spill cleanup efforts currently underway in Tobago. This potential allowance aims to recognize their critical contribution to the island’s recovery from the environmental disaster.
