Some Tobago Residents Say They’ve Waited Weeks For A Callback On Food Badge Registration

May 6, 2025 – The Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection announced a new venue for Food Badge Registration, which now takes place every Thursday at the Lowlands Multi-Purpose Facility from 8:00 a.m., due to renovations at the Scarborough Library. However, the location change hasn’t eased frustrations for some applicants. One Facebook commenter said she has been waiting “approximately 2-3 weeks” since submitting her name and is still awaiting a callback. She noted that she has followed up in person twice but was repeatedly told that she’d receive a phone call. Another commenter expressed concern about the responsiveness of the system, highlighting the growing public dissatisfaction. Health, appointments remain mandatory, and they’ve asked for the public’s patience while apologising for any inconvenience.
