Scarborough, Tobago – January 17th, 2024 – Construction of a new Scarborough Secondary School is soon to be underway. On the heels of Scarborough Secondary School celebrating its 63rd anniversary yesterday, Education Secretary Zorisha Hackett announced, via one of her Facebook pages, that a sod-turning ceremony would mark the beginning of the new school’s construction.
Following this social media post, an official press release was issued early today, inviting media members to the anticipated sod-turning event. This significant ceremony is scheduled for Friday, January 19th, 2024, at Bacolet Park, which has been identified as the site for the new facility.
This development marks a crucial step in upgrading Tobago’s educational infrastructure, aiming to provide a modern and enhanced learning environment for students in the coming years.
