The vessel was towed to Sea Lots in Trinidad, where it is to be salvaged. However, on Friday, August 23rd, a few individuals tried to illegally board the vessel and engaged in a shootout with the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard. This incident sparked theories that there might be contraband on the vessel; however, Dr. Rowley refuted these claims.
