Scarborough, Tobago – The Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment, and Sustainable Development has announced the return of the fruit pulper to service. This machine, now repurposed for mango pulp production, plays a key role in Tobago’s Small Ruminant Development Project (SRDP).
In partnership with the Tobago Agribusiness Development Company (TADCO), the SRDP aims to bolster Tobago’s sheep and goat populations. The project plans to acquire 1000 lambs and 500 kids from local farmers, directly supporting the island’s agricultural sector and enhancing food security.
