October 24, 2024 – The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has confirmed its readiness for any eventualities that may arise during the Tobago October Carnival weekend. Speaking at a press conference at the Shirvan Road Police Station, Assistant Senior Superintendent Sunil Bharrat noted that they are coordinating with the Coast Guard, Defence Force, Fire Services, and other branches of national security to ensure adequate monitoring across the island. The police’s readiness was part of a larger security plan to ensure the safety of both residents and visitors during the festivities.
