Addressing media reports, Dr. Rowley stated that he did not accuse the EMA itself of obstructing the development process.
Instead, he highlighted how objectors use the EMA and its regulations to hinder projects. His comments underscore the ongoing debate between environmental concerns, community objections, and the government’s push for development, specifically regarding the Marriott Hotel investment in Rocky Point, Tobago.
